had so much free time yesterday in which i decided to watch windstruck,a korean love story.
its about a newly found physics teacher at an all girls school,'myungwoo' and a policewomen 'kyungjin' that accidentally caught him as a purse snatcher on e street during off duty.the real criminal was caught later and kyungjin happily hopped off not saying apologies to myungwoo.devastated,myungwoo was angry but he later came back to the police station to do some voluntary patrol with a police officer which he later realised he would be paired up with kyungjin.walking in e red light district,she bumped into a group of young punks that didnt show her respect as a woman n a police officer.so she brought them all down.proceeding with the journey,she saw what was supposed to be a drug dealing going on and followed the dealer's footsteps to e dilapidated factory.by this time,myungwoo was scared and wanted to go home but kyungjin handcuffed him to her and she dragged him all the way til she busts the whole gang.
their relationship then blossomed and myungwoo became more sacrificial to kyungjin.he then bought an off-road to go back to his countryside hm where his mom resides.so they went and there was this part when they were making fire,kyungjin told him a folklore of making a promise using pinkies 'the last short finger'.there was a princess hu was pretty n wise.so many princes came to marry her but only 5 princes was left and she crossed her finger on one hand and put out her pinky on e other.one prince showed the thumb,the other showed the second finger,and the third got punched,fourth showed the ring finger,and lastly the handsome prince showed the pinky and thus they lived happily ever after.but a war came, so the prince had to go to war and promised to return back and they used the pinkies again.but he didnt return and the people wanted her to marry another prince.she finally agreed to do so if the prince would show him his pinky like before.but none did.finally a beggar came and showed her his pinky.she found out he was the long lost prince.but not for long, on the 49th day of the prince's return,he vanished into thin air.that was just a promise he made before the war to return as a spirit and watch over her.
story over,so they then was on their way home back to town when a landslide occured and the off-road was pushed over short distance into the sea.myungwoo got strucked on e head and myungwoo quickly revived him on land,not giving up and resuscitated him.saving him once,they then proceeded to their own lives living as a teacher and policewomen.one day,kyungjin was chasing a jail-breaker and myungwoo calls her and vaguely can hear where she was heading.so he runs out to help her.he was accidentally shot by other detectives and died on e hands of myungwoo.myungwoo gave up with life and tried to kill herself by overdosage,jumping off a building but each time she tries she would be revived again and again by e doctors.
so she believed the folklore and counted as the days which on the 49th,myungwoo would show up and she would die together with him.he did.(when she cried,i cried too)he then told her not to be sad and he would be with her as the wind.he told her she would meet another same soul as him and they would be happily together.
bahh im not a good story teller but its fucking sad and go watch it cos i really cried!
